Make your own way to the centrally located office to meet your professional chef-guide before your afternoon or evening tour starts. 

Transfer by minibus to a private estate situated in the hills above Florence. Start your culinary experience with a tasting of a traditional fettunta (toast with toppings) appetizer accompanied by a glass of Chianti wine. Soak in views of the rolling hills as your instructor shares the backstory of Italy's famous foods: pizza and gelato.

Next your chef-instructor shows you how to make pizza dough, and explains regional variations. After preparing the dough, select the topping ingredients that you like from the assortment of fresh vegetables harvested from the estate gardens. Your pizza is then baked traditional-style in the wood oven. When ready, sit down to enjoy your pizza accompanied by wine or beer.

For dessert, learn to make a creamy gelato that can be accompanied by toppings and sauces. Your instructor provides recipes for the pizza and gelato so that you can make them at home.

Your culinary experience ends with a return trip to your starting point in Florence.

The cooking class was one of our highlights in visiting Florence! Our chef instructors Alex, Luigi, and Lucca were so wonderful and hilarious, we laughed the whole time while still making really really delicious food! The views are breathtaking, but just make sure you're not like me and you wear good shoes as there is some walking and stairs to get to the location. Bring a nice jacket as well as the hill bring some.xopler winds along with its beauty! Overall experience 15/10 !!

You NEED this class in your life! Hands down the best tour/cooking class in Italy. The 3 gentleman were incredible; I'll refer to them as the mad scientist (gelato), the chef & the talent/entertainment (Lucca). You must try the egg yolk flavor, I promise it'll surprise you & definitely need to throw the pizza dough.

7 stars! Max, Luigi and Luca were phenomenal! We signed up for this tour the morning of because our previously scheduled tour was canceled. Well, I’m happy the other tour was canceled because this was excellent!!! Family, single, couples—everyone is welcome and we all had a blast. Food was excellent, recipes are given. Max, Luigi and Luca were all three amazing, entertaining, and taught us how to make the best gelato and pizza. They were very personable and taught us and took the time to answer all questions. I would highly recommend taking this course, especially if these three were leading it. Not to mention the ride there and the views were amazing.

TEN star experience! I can't imagine how they could make it any better. Tons of fun, and very impressive that they could create a class that catered to beginners and experts. The night was full of laughs, learning, and AMAZING food. Best part is that you get to take the knowledge and recipes home with you! To Max, Luca, and Luigi-- you guys are the BEST!

It was all incredible. The gelato making and the pizza making were both so much fun. Max, the gelato teacher, was great and really knew his gelato. Lucca and Lucia, the pizza teachers, were also incredible. Lucca was hilarious and kept us laughing.
