Meet your tour guide in front of the McDonalds, opposite the Tourist Information office. Our coach is coming from Zurich and will reach Lucerne between 9.20am and 9.30am.

Start your day trip near the main train station in central Lucerne, where you’ll meet your guide aboard the coach for the drive to Lauterbrunnen. The scenic journey winds below the impressive mountain peaks of the Bernese Oberland en route to your destination in the UNESCO-listed wilderness of Switzerland’s Bernese Alps.

On arrival at Lauterbrunnen, your guide accompanies you on a 100-minute cogwheel train ride to Jungfraujoch, Europe’s highest-altitude railway station sitting 11,333 feet above sea level. Along the way, travel through the breathtaking mountain pass of Kleine Scheidegg, situated beneath the famous Eiger North Face. 

Disembark at the Top of Europe and head to the Alpine Sensation — a round-tour subway opened to mark the centenary of the Jungfrau Railway. This latest attraction links the Ice Palace and Sphinx Observatory, where you can soak up panoramic views over Aletsch Glacier, Europe's longest glacier. On a clear day, look as far as the snow-capped peaks of France and Italy. 

If you wish, purchase a snack or a warm drink at the on-site restaurant (own expense) before the cogwheel train ride to ‘Eigergletscher’, where you will change to the V-Cableway Eiger Express. After approx. 15 minutes you will reach Grindelwald Terminal, where your coach awaits. Then hop aboard your coach for the return drive to central Lucerne where your tour concludes in the evening.

We had a terrific time on this excursion. Kid was helpful and fun. He did a great job of getting us from point to point on time and didn't mind taking pics for us as well! We didn't have great weather at the Plateau, but the Ventura up and down had spectacular views!

The tour was everything it was described to be - and just made even better thanks to our tour guide, Kid. The scenery was breathtaking the whole way there and most definitely at the top. Kid made sure we got all the best picture angles and always managed to get us to the front of the lines so we had time ahead of crowds. Would definitely do it again - would love to see it on a clear day in winter.

Wonderful experience! Only suggestion regards pick up & drop off. Location for pick up was not accurate. If we had’not gone around the corner, we would have missed the bus. Drop off at end of tour was different than pick up location. No guidance given at drop off so we were at a loss for how to get back to where we started from in the morning. Remember we are tourists & don’t know the area. At least point passengers in the right direction at the end of the bus ride so we can get back to where we started from. Kid was excellent. Great guide! Made the trip memorable. Went above & beyond….especially in getting my forgotten rain coat back to me. Thank You!!!

The bus met us on time and our guide Raymond was great. He provided info on all aspects of the tour and knew about the road, the gondola and train. The tour at the top was a lot of fun and he did great photos for us on our phones. Definitely a great day!!

Great adventure with minor glitches

Cog Railroad and aerial tram ride to the Yungfrau. Except for our tour guide who we barely understood do to his heavy Korea accent as well as his not being organized. The bus dropped us back off 7 additional blocks from where we were picked up. No knowing the town we got lost. It took awhile to walk back to our hotel and we were not happy.

Ohh I am so sorry to hear that you ended the tour in Lucerne not at the starting point but some hundred meters from the train station. We will bring this matter up to our staff to make sure that regardless the traffic our clients are brought closer to the train staiton. We can’t really rate this trip as it was cancelled less than 24 hours before we were to go ( although this site forces a rating in order to complete a review!) We have been looking forward to this full day adventure since 2019 when we initially booked it for 2020. Due to Covid both 2020 and 2021 this Viator adventure had to be cancelled. Viator refunded our money both times….per their good policy! However, I was not notified via email, text or phone that this trip was cancelled less than 24 hrs before the scheduled trip. I happened to reach out to “ tour guide” to clarify Covid restrictions on 4/08/22 after noon …..only to be taken to a notice that I would have never seen if I didn’t make this inquiry that the trip was not going, but we could book for 4/10. Otherwise all looked like it was a go for 9:30 AM 4/09/22! We were traveling with Viking so I was hoping we could go on their full day tour, but it was too late to join that group. We were totally floored that we had a full day ahead , planned for years…..and now what do we do? Viator offered us another option for a half day trip to Mt Titlis, so we had no real options at that time., so we agreed. It was a wonderful trip ! ….but we were extremely disappointed by how this was handled by Viator. To wait till less than 24 hrs to find out, only by chance, that the trip wasn’t going, …….yet per policy, if we had done that ….cancelled less than 24 hours we would have lost our money.!

Viator is our partner, but we are the tour operator and we need a minimum number of participants to be able to conduct our tours. It is correct we messaged you through Viator the morning of the previous day and offered you an alternative date or an alternative tour. We are pleased that you enjoyed the excursion to Glacier Paradise Mount Titlis, the highest viewpoint in Central Switzerland, as it is also a snow mountain with glacier and glacier grotto. May I also mention that we did not force you to choose a different tour we also settled the balance in tour prices in cash to you on spot. We did not hear that you are not interested in the replaced tour of course you could have chosen the refund because we did not run the tour. We are sorry for the inconvenience we caused, but we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Switzerland.

On April l,2022 our trip could/would have been awesome, however, it was so foggy that it was impossible to see any of the mountains. Train and gondola trips were fine. Some restaurants and shopping not available due to lack of customers. It might have been a bit early to plan this adventure -- therefore, I would recommend a month or so later. Dear Partricia Roll, we regret that on the choosen date the weather was not good and the visibility was very limited at the top. There is always a chance for not perfect weather but this was really exceptionally even in Zurich (408 m above seal leavel) we got snow which is not usual for the time of year! In April we have early spring time with flowers and trees starting to blow and in the mountain the last snow from winter, which leaves nice colorful impressions. Regrettably we have no influence on the weather otherwise we would order only good weather for our clients. Sorry

Most memorable part is during our trip it was snowing and it was perfect and spectacular. Seeing all the snow and the ice cave. We were blessed to have experienced snow at this time of the year. Local said this has not happened before in April.

We took the tour as we were travelling with seniors and a baby. Seemed like easier option to travel and did not regret it at all. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. Comfortable clean bus. It was storming so we basically didnt see anything up there. I’d suggest not to go to jungfrau during winter
