Cinque Terre Day Trip from Milan With Hotel Pickup

This was a long bus trip but the coaches were very comfortable and the guide was so helpful and told us lots on the way. I think his name was Salvatore? The villages are so worth a visit, although you don’t have alot of time there. I enjoyed the boat trip.

These are beautiful towns. I recommend 100% to go I only advice the tour company to advise the tourist about the multiple stairs in this town. It was hard for my mom who is 75 years old. A little bit of notice could be nice.

Everything went as planned with the tour, which is always appreciated. The guide (Anni?) was very sweet and considerate, clear and firm. She was knowledgeable but not intrusive. I was disappointed that she did not seem as sociable as some guides I have had on similiar tours over the years, but what she did offer was very helpful. We were a small group in a big bus, which made me happy because I have long legs and could use the leg room.

The reason that we rate this tour so low was because of the employees of the local travel agency, it has nothing to do with Viator. These people were rude from the beginning. The bad experience started with the driver who picked up us up at the hotel. That person did not even say good morning or anything at all, we thought that he was going to be the one conducting the tour, like past experiences with Viator. He dropped us up at the curb of the local agency, which was closed at that early morning hours, without even saying a word. After waiting in the dark for about 15 minutes, my husband called the number that was on the voucher. A lady answered and my husband expressed our frustrations that we had not been told any information regarding the tour, e.g. as to what time or that someone else would come to pick us up. We had not even had any coffee, since it had been so early, and my husband walked across the street where there was a coffee shop and got us some coffee. By the time he came back, a bigger bus had arrived with our tour guide. When we went to get on the bus the tour guide, very nasty said that we could not get on the bus with our cup of coffee "because it was very dangerous." He was extremely confrontational with my husband who got extremely upset with him because of his attitude and my husband's first reaction was to throw the coffee on the sidewalk without knowing there was a garbage can close. As soon as he realized there was a garbage can, he threw it in it. My husband thought that this was a company policy; however, the worst part about it is that when we were returning to town, we made a stop and a lot of the passengers brought to the bus things to eat and drink and the guide did not say or forbid them to bring it inside the bus like we were told in the morning. It was a very disappointing experience when we were really looking forward to this beautiful tour. He was a horrible guide, he was not like other guides who would explain and talk throughout the excursion, he would just give us the necessary information. We have used Viator extensively for many years, and have never had a bad experience like this one. We know is not your fault, but you need to be aware how this travel agency treats its customers so that it does not happen again.

Quite an exceptional tour, visiting Cinque Terre, indeed! There is beauty and history all around wherever you go. The memories will last a lifetime.

WoW! Those hillsides were very colorful with the houses painted different colors. Waiting for my pictures. Glad for the pickup from the hotel. But, we had to find our way home from the drop-off point. That was an experience. Had a wonderful. Too long a wait for seating at the restaurant. Didn't get enough time to shop.

a very nice day trip we got to use a bus ,train, and a boat if you have time would be wonderful to stay a night unfortunately we didn't ,the area is very beautiful colors and crystal clear water worth doing

Hotel pickup was totally unnecessary. Arrived at hotel for pick up at 5:45 a.m. and waited until 6:20 to be picked up only to be driven a short distance to wait for two large tour buses to fill up with people. This seem to take a very long time and as with large tour buses there are always lots and lots of delays getting people on and off. I would suggest visiting Cinque Terre from another city in Italy. Or staying overnight if possible or going by private driver from Milan. Tour buses are not a good optionn

Really enjoyed all the day on Cinque Terre tour. Very good guide who managed day well. Fascinating area to visit
