Divino Vesuvio - Wine Tasting on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius from Naples

Our group tour ended up being a private tour with one of the tour guides(likely due to Covid). They accommodated us on a later pick up time at our desired location which was nice! The tour started with a 1 hour and thirty minute drive around the city of Napoli. This was unexpected and frankly sort of unsettling. When traveling to a foreign country and being driven around by a stranger it would have been extremely helpful to know the name of the winery that we did eventually get to. Maybe if our driver had navigation up, but we truly didn’t know when we would get to the mt vesuvio winery. We stopped a wonderful scenic vista overlooking the city. What a view! Finally we did get to Sorrentino Vini —WOW! Our wine tour started off with a wonderful white wine followed by lunch, Spaghetti with Mariana sauce. We ultimately tasted 6 wines, plus a charcuterie plate and desert. The food and wine were amazing! Our tour concluded with a tour around the vineyard with amazing views on the slopes of the volcano overlooking Pompeii and Sorrento. All things considered, transportation and a meal with 6 glasses of wine is an absolute steal for the price. I would recommend this tour but please be aware we spent 2 hours traveling in the car. This experience could easily be 5 stars with an updated description and an itinerary given at the beginning with the winery name and tasting details.

This was a great day trip. The drive from Naples to the winery was interesting. The wine tasting was paired with the serving of a multi-course lunch, and both the wine and food were excellent--we ordered a case of wine to be shipped to us back in the US. The view from the serving room overlooking The Bay of Naples and Pompeii was spectacular. And the brief tour of the vineyard was interesting. The price for this excursion was very reasonable too. We would strongly recommend this tour if you are planning a stay in the Naples area.

Our driver, Rosario, picked us up on time and took care of our every need. The wine tour was amazing, the food was delicious as was the wine, and the views of Mount Vesuvius from the vineyard were spectacular! We loved this tour and would highly recommend.

Trevlig upplevelse i fin miljö. Maten var okej, vinet var okej, men utsikten var fantastiskt och höjde hela upplevelsen. Först fick vi tre rätters med fem olika sorters vin, sen visade de oss runt på gården. Hade gärna sett att man fick se var vinet lagrades också. Guiden var jättebra och trevlig.
