For your full-day Loire Valley châteaux tour, rise early and board an air-conditioned motorcoach from a central location in Paris. Travel through the rolling hills of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO-listed wine region in central France. Your guide drives you to each castle, which you explore on your own with the aid of self-guided audio tours (if option selected)

Begin your tour at the UNESCO-listed Château de Chambord, the largest castle in the Loire Valley, used as a retreat by French kings, especially Louis XIV. Learn about how Francois I, who had the château built, left his mark on the architecture throughout the castle. Snap a photo of the double-helix staircase inspired by Leonard da Vinci.

After the drive to Château de Chenonceau, explore the 16th-century castle spanning the Cher River. Described as the "Ladies' Castle," the regal refuge was used by the likes of Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poitiers. Admire its Renaissance architecture and artwork by the masters of the day, as well as its rare tapestries, fine furniture, and the ornate formal gardens. Discover the Loire's wine heritage through wine tastings. Lunch is provided from November through March.

Please note, on Mondays and Saturdays in summer, you visit Château d'Amboise instead of Chambord.

Your sightseeing tour ends with return transport Paris.

Great tour and our guide Vincent was...

Great tour and our guide Vincent was fantastic with great knowledge and stories. Didnt make us feel left out even though we didnt pay for the extra commentary. Just enough time at each Chatteau. Only suggestion: meal preferences would be good - the fish terrine was horrible.
