Fantastic day, our tour guide provided tons of interesting information. We had free time to explore after each guided portion. The audio equipment was excellent, although my husband couldn't hear through his as well as I could. Lunch was outstanding and luckily we had beautiful weather in the afternoon (chilly and cloudy in the am). The only tricky part was the directions on where we would meet up after each free time portion. The walk to the meeting place for lunch was easily 15 min from the castle and we were told the guide would not wait if we were late. Also, the final meeting place was vague but we saw others in our party and eventually saw the guide. Otherwise it was a fantastic day!

We were meet by the Tour at the pick up point, but from the moment our driver picked us up, he had a very unpleasant demeanor. He saw some of the group had a few snacks, and stated there was to be no drinking or eating in his vehicle. There were two other passengers, and he did not say one word about anything we were driving past on the way. On arrival he separated the two groups, and told us, he would not be doing any explanations or giving any comments. We requested to pay extra for a guided tour and he said NO.. would not discuss it. there were few people at the location so if he had wanted he could have arranged it. We offered to pay to join the other couple, again NO, NO,NO

Tour was good but still crowded during the afternoon time slot. Traffic was bad getting back to Paris, but our guide Jose was.Great! He ended up taking us through Paris as well pointing out several sights to visit that we had not yet seen as we worked our way through traffic. Jose was knowledgeable advice well explaining Versailles history on the way out for the tour.

I booked a whole day tour which included the palace of Versailles, le petit Trianon, le grand Trianon, the hamlet, and gardens. The driver came on time and confirmed our reservation but when he dropped us off he said he would be back in 2.5 hours to pick us up. I showed him our confirmation for the trip which included everything and he said no that he couldn’t stay that long- there was a mistake. He was going to message the office and I sent a message to Viator and no response! Rip-off!!!!

Hotel pick up was on time. There were 7 of us and it was a hot day. We had time to walk around the gardens before our skip the line start time, which was 10am. We actually got into the palace about 10:50 as there were other groups a head of us. Just beware that there are massive amount of people inside the palace all trying to do the same thing, which is take pictures and slowly shuffle along.

They picked us up from our hotel in a nice van. We were seated in back since we were the last pick up. Paris was having record high temperatures and the back of the van did not cool off at all. Because they do not have a lot of hot weather there, no one seems to know how to operate the AC correctly we are from Texas. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable the whole ride there. The palace is beautiful and the audio and headsets were nice. But it was so hot, it was oppressive. There was no way to cool off in any way. I recommend going any other month than July. The palace is stunning, but are thousands of tourists are there with you, so know that going in.

We booked what we thought would be a relaxing afternoon at Versailles. We booked a tour where the driver would pick us up at our hotel. As this was the last day of a busy trip we decided to sleep in a little. Woke up with plenty of time to grab a quick bite from one of the local shops and head back to the hotel to be picked up in the lobby. We waited in the lobby for almost 40 minutes.Called the tour agency and they said that the time had been changed and that they are on time.We were not notified. Had we been we would have enjoyed a much more relaxed morning with a nice lunch at a local brasserie. But not knowing we had extra time we just had a quick sandwich. Not what I would have liked to have had on my last afternoon in Paris. The

I opted for the half day tour without a guide. The driver was great and gave us some valuable information. If you only want an overview of the palace and gardens, this is fine. Several of the group felt as though they were rushed especially those who paid for a personal guide. It was quite crowded, but still amazing to see. As a member of the older generation, I cannot understand spending 99 your time taking pictures which will be mostly unidentifiable later when you could actually use your eyes to take in the opulence. Buy a book with better pictures and text to explain the location and history of each one!

This tour is amazing and our tour guide was fantastic. She picked us up at our hotel in a van, drove to Versailles, gave us time to walk around the gardens for about 45 minutes. Then we got our self-guiding headphones and experienced the beautiful of the Palace before she drove us back to our hotel. On the way to Versailles, she told us the applicable history that helped the visit to be much more meaningful. This is the best!!

Our family of 5 and just 2 others were on this trip. We enjoyed the day, but somethings were not as advertised... We were not able to contact anyone the day before our trip and it says that the trip might be canceled if they are not contacted. So, when our driver was over 15 minutes late, we were worried that we had been canceled! The driver had a very thick accent and the kids couldn't understand him. Then, we were supposed to be able to get a choice of a meal at lunch and we did not. The driver ordered our meal and drinks without any input from anyone. It was a beautiful day, but could have been better with a few changes.

This is not worth it at all. The driver and guide were nice. We were deposited at the door and given a set time to go through with a self guide. So we went room to room with 150 or so people trying to see the things being pointed out on the tape. Very crowded and we were there in the off season. I cant imagine what this would be like in the summer. I did not find this all that grand. There are so many other palaces out there that are much better. Check out the apartment at Louvre or Musée dOrsee to see grand rooms. Do not spend this much money here.

An excellent tour guide !!!!!! I was lucky that on this small group tour, the 2 Canadians cancelled at last moment and I got the t/guide all to myself. Communications was excellent his english better than mine ?, knowledge and history/culture all top-marks. Notable extra exhibition on at Versailles and he recommended I do it too .......was time pushed but did it. Was most worthwhile.

This is a fantastic tour! We booked the full day trip and it was worth it! We arrived early enough to have a walk around the beautiful gardens before we started our tour, which consisted of my wife and I and two other couples. Our guide was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. His enthusiasm for history was evident in the way he spoke and additional contextual information he provided to help provide a better picture of what the world was like when Versailles was the seat of power. We then were taken to eat a beautiful restaurant on the grounds followed by a tour of Marie Antionette's private palace and farmhouse. This tour is a must. DISCLAIMER Versailles is extremely popular, even in the low season so be mindful that it will be crowded.
