Fantastic experience! I was there with my 6 years old Son and and i must admit that it was very interesting to both of us. We learned a lot about the process and history of producing cheese and parma ham. Tour guide was very precise and concise with information, he was very caring And very well prepared with a great sense of humoru. We arrived to Parma directly from Cinque terre region (2hours drive by car) and it was absolutely worth it!

A great visit to small producers of prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano with tasting at each. We got to see them remove the separated curds from the whey, almost 1000 pounds of cheese, and place them into the first molds to shape into wheels of cheese. Knowledgeable guides that were also able to give a great recommendation for lunch in Parma after the tour.
We were staying in Modena and were able to take a morning train to Parma and be picked up right near the Parma train station.

My husband and I loved the cheese & ham tour with ParmaLook! The parmigiano portion was our favorite, loved being at a small cheese maker and watching the full process.
After the ham portion, we were enjoying ourselves so much, we also decided to join the leg to the basalmic maker. We learned a ton and loved the samples we got.
One piece of advice is to bring your own water along! It's a long day.

Matteo and Chiara provide an informative and entertaining tour of the process to make parma ham and parmigiano reggiano. After seeing the process involved (and tasting samples) I now understand why the authentic items command such a price in North America!
Also appreciated that our tour guides picked us up and dropped us off at the front door of our B&B (located near the Palazzo della Pilotta complex)

The tour was excellent beginning with the convenience of being picked up at my hotel, the driver/Italian speaking guide and other participants were all very kind and happy to interact during the travel to the parmigiana farm. Mattia was and excellent guide, thorough in explaining and patient in answering questions. The ability to view the process was excellent. The prosciutto tour drive thereto and from were also very pleasant. I highly recommend the tour.

The tour was FANTASTIC. We learned a lot about the cheese making process and the tour guide, Mattia is the son of a Cheese maker so he was able to share intricate details about the process. Chiara was also on the tour and we went with her for the Parma tour. She grew up on a pig farm and was able to tell us about how the pigs are tracked. At both factories, we saw employees working in prepping the cheese and meat. We were lucky enough to taste the fresh cheese in addition to the aged cheeses.

The cheese tour was incredible! The entire process from milking the cows to the aging was all there, and they used so few people to do it! We also got some white wine, parmagiano and balsamic samples at the end. The ham tour was also very good. Our guide Mattia explained everything quite well and was fun to talk to. Logistics were simple.
