This activity will end right where it started.
Make your way to a traditional masseria just outside Lecce in Apulia (exact location received upon confirmation). Meet your teachers, two professional sommeliers who own the estate, and begin your authentic Pugliese cooking class.

Using all local ingredients, learn how to craft a full lunch or dinner menu with an appetizer, pasta, meat, and dessert. A typical menu includes cream of broccoli with burrata and anchovies, cavalieri spaghetti with tomatoes, Negroamaro pot roast with creamed potatoes, and pasticiotto flan.

After you finish cooking, enjoy your meal with a selection of fine wine.

A night to remember

Lisa and Fabio were wonderful hosts and would highly recommend this activity. They have a beautiful home and took great care teaching us and two other couples how to make two kinds of pasta. They prepared a variety of local dishes all lovingly homemade. We had great conversation learning all about the food, wine, and culture of the region. They made many recommendations of places to visit. We all left the evening as friends.

We had a nice evening with nice people, but it was very disappointing. We waited long to post a review (We are still waiting for a reply from the touroperator). Its been a month now, so I decided to post a review. The whole evening was different comparing with other reviews, photo’s and the discription of the tour. The evening was in a regular house: no estate outside Lecce and no garden (just a patio). We made two pasta’s and that was it. No futher information about the wine or more background information. Both ladies were very kind, but they hardly speak english. So we had a nice evening with friendly people, but it was absolutley not worth the €75,- we paid each person. We had a strange feeling because they changed the date last minute. Perhaps the original location was not available and they had to improvice.

Paola and Tiziano were great hosts and we would highly recommend this. The evening felt really tailored, was only us and not merged with other people and we learnt a lot about the region, local food and seasonal produce. As a confident cook with friends less so experienced, it was a good starter for pasta making and Paola had prepared the most part of the meal so it's more about learning rather than cooking from scratch the entire meal. Was a lovely starter, pasta course, secondi and pudding, paired with local wine. If there are more than 4 of you, you might need to pay a small subsidy for transfers but Tiziano will arrange. All in all we left saying it was one of the best and most memorable evenings in Puglia.

Cancelled the morning after payment went out due to an illness that was several days old apparently. Waiting for a refund. We were in Lecce so spoke to someone locally and had a different but wonderful pasta cooking course run privately.

Paola and Triziano provided a great evening of good local food and an introduction to making many types of local pasta. We practiced making local pasta, of all different shapes, then sat down to great wine, conversation and food. It was a lovely evening that we will always remember of Lecce.

This was the most amazing experience - our hosts have a lovely home and made us feel welcome the minute we arrived - wonderful Rosato wine and Foccia bread as a welcome appetizer. We then learned how to make locat pasta, sauces etc - the hosts were amazing - beautiful property, ate figs from their tree and enjoyed many other wonderful food. Just cant say enough great things about how great the evening was!

Ron and I had a wonderful cooking experience with Paola and Tinziano in their home. We were treated as honored guests and friends of this warm, communicative couple. We were able to taste some excellent local wines and olive oil. Our cooking class focused on making the dough and forming fresh orrichiette by hand! Paola was an excellent and patient teacher. She had also prepared a wonderful meal to accompany the pasta. We enjoyed the beautiful garden. All too soon it was time to go, and Tinziano went out of his way to deliver us near our B n B. This experience was the highlight of our trip.
