This was the best way to do both Pompeii and Almafi. Lorenzo was a great guide and our driver handled the very twisted roads in Postiano with real skill. Our tour guide in Pompeii was excellent and really brought it to life. The only downside was the road to Positano is very twisty so be aware if you get car sick. Also the “limoncello” tasting was literally walking into a shop and having a tiny taste, not what we were expecting and very anticlimactic

Sent a sick, coughing tour guide. My husband has covid now.

On pick up to our tour, our “assistant” was clearly sick. He was hoarse, constant runny nose and coughed the ENTIRE ride we were in The van with him. He didn’t even attempt to wear a mask while he was obviously sick. He didn’t do much because he felt so bad, there was no point in him being there. I was so stressed, I wasn’t comfortable because of how sick he was and didn’t have a good trip. Five days after the tour my husband has covid. His symptoms began late Day 4 and he tested positive on Day 5. Our doctor has said this is an extremely common time period and given the heavy exposure, this is by far the most likely point of infection. My husband is at high risk being 64 with multiple medical conditions. My 16 year old daughter is on a medication that puts her at extremely high risk for complications and hospitalization as well. Even though I contacted the company directly, they haven’t even replied to check how we are much less to apologize for sending someone with an obvious cough and other symptoms consistent with covid. Stay far, far away. Even if it wasn’t covid… no one wants to get that sick while traveling. It would have been even more devastating and expensive if we hadn’t left Italy before testing positive, we barely made it out. If we could have been stick there due to this company sending someone sick.

Dear customer, I find your statement offensive. Having a low voice due to hoarseness is not being sick with COVID. All our assistants and drivers must show the covid test certificate before boarding. no one gets on board if they do not meet these requirements. our vehicles are sanitized every end of the tour. Assistants and drivers wear masks on board. I'm sorry for your husband and I understand your concern but the covid took him somewhere else, certainly not on board or from our staff. if an assistant is unsuitable, he does not board and a replacement is called. You are accusing the assistant Fabio who did the tour, a very attentive person and before getting on board he presented the test swab he had done the night before. these are our rules. Nobody gets on board if there is a possibility or doubt that he is sick. I remind her that to return to her country she had to take the test and if it were as she says she would not have been able to leave because the airline would not have given her permission to board. I find all this a dishonest excuse to blame others. We are sorry for what happened but we do not hold ourselves responsible for your problem and we feel it is our duty to apologize to whoever you are accusing for no reason.

Very amazing experience me and my partner learnt a lot about the history and things we did not know before about Pompei I would really recommend to all staff over all friendly and welcoming and you feel like a true VIP not going to show any photos as do not want to spoil for those who want to see it with their own eyes! You will be truly amazed! 10/10 over all from me and my partner gives it a 10/10 also. Was a little bit rushed and could have been not rushed as much but over all good.

Edna was our tour guide and Adam was our Driver, they were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure our experience was amazing. Words can’t describe how pleased we were. We’ve been on many tour but this one thus far was the absolute BEST. Miss Edna even made a reservation at a restaurant for us by the water, Adam made sure they knew it was my companions birthday and they brought out a desert with a candle and sang to him. It was beautifully put together. From the great conversation on the ride and the knowledge Miss Edna shared to the views of the amalfi coast at the very top top of the mountain it was honestly nothing short of amazing! If you can request for Adam & Edna I suggest you do, you will not be disappointed. Pompeii is an experience as well, it’s truly beautiful but Edna and Adam made our tour of the Amalfi coast/Positano absolutely amazing! I will never forget it or them!!!

We were in Rome for only a short time, but very much wanted to experience Pompeii and Amalfi. This was *perfect*. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel as scheduled, with exclusive use of a new, clean van with a professional driver and a guide. It was a 12 hour day, but was *exactly* what we were looking for in a trip. The driver, our guide, and the docent in Pompeii were all *outstanding*.

Pompei and Amalfi in a day

Comfortable ride in a luxury van to Pompei early in the morning with driver and guide who pointed out neat things along the way. Our archeological guide at Pompei was full of stories to bring the place alive. The drive over the mountains and along the coast in Amalfi was spectacular, and lunch overlooking the water was exceptional-the food and the view. Homemade everything. Even without crowds or lines(during covid) I didn't think two hours at Pompei was enough though. You see the major highlights, but no time to just wander the ruins... So we are going back again tomorrow.

Fantastic experience with Pino and Giordano

Pino and Giordano - what a fantastic experience these two put together for my father and I! Pino was a super knowledgeable guide, having grown up in Naples and taking us to an excellent family run restaurant overlooking the sea on the Amalfi coast after having arranged for a comprehensive and thoroughly enjoyed a tour of Pompeii. He shared information about every area we pass through, and chatted with us throughout our entire day. Really a terrific guy, and we enjoyed our time with him. The tour in Pompeii surpassed our expectations and our expectations were very high. Definitely a must do! Giordano was an excellent driver, getting us safely to each stop quickly and making sure we were comfortable the entire time. After lunch in Amalfi, Pino took us on a short walk through the town, pointing out a number of historical an important attributes of the city. following that, we took a drive along the coast, stopping in Sorrento for some fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice before stopping for a lemon cello tasting. Fantastic day that my father and I are still talking about. Definitely recommend, and ask for these two by name if you can! Thank you Pino and Giordano!

I know that Pino is married and so am I, so we will just be friends! Haha It was a magnificent day. Our family loved to visit to Pompeii. Our guide there, Hector, was fantastic. You can tell he loves his work. Very informative. Pino our guide for the day was very friendly and showed us the sweet spots. He made certain the we captured the right memories in photographs. Artur...BEST DRIVER EVER. If you get car sick, it’s a miserable ride from Rome. Take some Dramamine and go anyway!! Beautiful day. We HIGHLY recommend this tour and especially these guides! All the love from The Briggses!

We had a great time in our visit to Pompei and the Amalfi region. Christina, our guide, and Artur, our driver, were most helpful. Our guide in Pompei was almost as memorable as the ancient ruins themselves! Our trip went pretty much according to plan, and even unforeseen mishaps caused only minimal interruption. This tour is a good way of visiting this part of the country if you’re based in Rome and have only a limited time to spare.

This trip was wonderful!! My parents and I went on the private tour with our guide Christina and driver Walter. They were so good to us! Christina was extremely informative, giving us great information about what we were seeing and answering our questions, all the while giving us plenty of quiet time to just enjoy the ride. Walter was a very cautious and great driver. We really did not know what to expect, given that this was our first tour with Viator, but we couldn’t have been happier with our trip. If you are considering this day trip, take it! It is well worth the money! We will definitely be looking into more Viator tours in the future!

Day trip to Pompeii and Positano

This was a fabulous trip. There were 6 of us and we were very lucky as we were the only ones on this tour. We were picked up at our rental apartment, a driver and a guide. Once in Pompeii we had another guide, Hector who was terrific, just for us. We stopped enroute to Positano in Sorrento for pictures and a small bit of shopping. The guide walked us down the beautiful winding streets of Positano and suggested a fabulous restaurant on the beach. We had plenty of time to wander and shop. The day couldn't have been better.
