Entry Ticket: Colosseum and Ancient Rome (Priority Access)

Easy way to collect tickets. Easy to get to and great communication. The only issue I had was not with this company but with the amount of tours taking place. They were always in the way of us and didn’t move out of the way to let you pass.

Everything was amazing the views were amazing and beautiful. I recommend everyone see this once in their life

Tickets had to be bought in advance to get in the Colosseum and Roman forum. I didn’t realise that and thought we were buying ‘skip the line’ tickets. The building itself of course is a fantastic site to visit. We didn’t want another gruelling three hour guided tour after doing this the previous day for the Vatican, so we opted for advance tickets only. I honestly don’t know whether I got good value for the tickets or not as it’s all very confusing. We expected to walk past the queues to get into the Roman forum area before entering the Colosseum later. We were told by the official at the entrance that everyone in the huge queue had also purchased advance tickets and we would have to join the line. By this time we would be late for the Colosseum so we decided to not visit the forum. There were lots of street vendors trying to sell people bracelets, small wooden frogs etc and also beggars, and after a while it became a bit annoying. Upon entering the Colosseum there good information boards around and the site was a fascinating historical spectacle. We actually thought by this time, that we would like to join a guided tour, and then we could just leave it if we were getting tired, but they were all sold out. It was very busy, which I was a bit surprised at because it is so soon after Covid, but everywhere else was as well in Rome. Our visit was on a Sunday, weekdays maybe quieter.

We booked the skip the line tickets through Viator and it actually turned out to be a very smooth and easy entry process. No wait at all.

We bought the tickets and thought we were going to wander on our own. When we went to the pickup point, we were offered a tour with a guide at no charge. Our guide was great, ensuring even the pokiest of walkers were not left behind. We enjoyed our tour.

We loved going through the alternative line. It was totally worth it. We went in, explored, and left while the same people were waiting to enter in the regular line.

Only the initial entry to Coliseum was a lengthy process. The guide was knowledgeable. Not much is left at the Palantine & Roman Forum but the guide who goes by Gladiator Guide name was very informative & retraced Roman etiquette/ style which has become our daily routine.

On avait beau être en avance, on a loupé l'heure de RV: en effet, le lieu indiqué (près des kiosques verts à la sortie du métro) n'était pas correct; il fallait aller sur la terrasse près de la 2eme sortie (fermée) du métro, et pas de traces de pancarte violette. Finalement, après une demi-heure d'aller-retour (pendant laquelle on a pensé s'être fait arnaqués !) et grâce au dévouement des représentants sur place (Viator et Crown Tour), on a réussi à trouver la bonne personne, récupérer nos billets, puis nous débrouiller par nous-même. La journée s'est donc bien terminée pour nous.

Pour trouver le rdv de l'excursion aucune indication celle indiquée sur le bon de réservation ne correspond pas On nous a mis avec un groupe en anglais si on voulait les audioguide en français 10e en plus par personne alors qua l'intérieur ils sont à 5e Je ne recommande pas cette visite avec viator il vaut mieux prendre le livre et audioguide

Estuvimos delante del Coliseo en la entrada de grupos esperando más de una hora Escuchando un especie de guía insufrible Solo habíamos pagado para entrar en corta filas para no esperar Pagamos 90 € para esperar obligatoriamente escuchando el guía y sin poder entrar Los que hacían cola normal entraron mucho antes que nosotros Mi hijo de diez años y’a no podía más y no nos dieron ninguna explicación de esa larguísima espera Ni tampoco disculpas Al contrario Cuando pedíamos que pasaba , pues ellos pasaban de nosotros Lástima Al final cuando entramos Estábamos tan cansados de esperar sin movernos que ni disfrutamos de este fabuloso monumento Una lástima
