This tour meets inside Termini Train Station, just outside the entrance to the caffè 'Vyta Santa Margherita', by the train station access/exit along Via Marsala. If you are arriving by taxi, ask to be dropped off on Via Marsala number 27/ 29, right at the taxi stand by the station entrance. Coming from Via Marsala, 'Vyta Santa Margherita'' is the first caffè located on the right handside, as soon as you get inside the station.

8:30 AM
This activity will end right where it started.
Make your way to the centrally-located Roma Termini railway station, where you meet your guide for an early morning departure. Enjoy views of the Italian countryside during the high-speed train ride to Naples, then transfer to a private, air-conditioned bus for the scenic trip to the Amalfi Coast.

The first stop of the day is Positano, a fishing town-turned resort that’s a favorite for celebrity beach vacations and romantic getaways. Get your bearings in the picture-perfect village on a guided tour, then enjoy free time in Positano: browse elegant boutiques, have leather sandals custom made by a local craftsman, visit a seaside café for lunch, or slip into the water for a swim.

Meet back up with the group, then board a boat for a ride down the coast to Amalfi town, passing along one of the most spectacular sections of the coast. Keep your camera out to capture views of soaring sea cliffs, then return to shore at Amalfi. Continue to a lemon orchard that’s perched high on a cliff above Amalfi, where you sample limoncello, a sweet, tangy liqueur made with locally-grown lemons.

Following the tasting, you have time to explore the town on your own before meeting back at the boat for the cruise to Salerno. Upon arrival in Salerno, board a high-speed train for the trip back to Rome, where this full-day tour concludes at the Roma Termini railway station.

Alessandra our guide was amazing. She kept the group well informed and together. The tour itself was outstanding! Great views of the Amalfi Coast and Positano from the ferry. The trip to the lemon farm was well worth the 300+ steps. Excellent views of the coast. Best way to see this area.

This was not an experience I would recommend to anyone. You are essentially just riding public transportation with a babysitter. You have no “ins” or private anything- you are literally just taking public transport as a group. In our day trip we missed our ferry- resulting in a loss of 1 hour of free time, then missed our return train and ended up having to take a 3 hour train an hour later- resulting in a loss of 4 hours of our day. It was terrible. I also have no idea how we missed these transports as the group members were on time for every part of the experience. The lemon farm was by far the highlight but we only got to enjoy it for about 15 minutes since the day was running so behind. My husband and I took the next day off because we were so exhausted from the experience. I want to be clear- this was not our tour guides fault at all. He was great- it truly is just the logistics of the “tour”.

Dear Micaela, Thank you for submitting honest feedback about your Boat-Hopping On The Amalfi Coast. First of all, we want to apologise about not delivering what we had promised, as I know exactly what tour you are talking about and I agree it was far from perfect. The train we took t to Naples arrived over 15 minutes late, so we missed our ferry. This is very unusual on the high speed line, as its considered to be the fastest and most reliable way to travel across the Peninsula, which is why we choose it for this service. If we had used a private bus it would have been only us but it would have taken approximately 1 hour more each way, making the entire day much longer. Unfortunately this was not the only delay you experienced. We had bad weather on the way back to Salerno, so the boat took over 40 minutes longer than expected to reach the port. Hence, we missed the return train as well and had to wait for the following one. Please believe us when we tell you this is not how we usually operate, and that we were victims of a series of unexpected and unfortunate circumstances. As a token of our apology for all the frustration we caused, we reached out immediately after the tour to offer compensation. We know it is not going to bring back the time you lost, but we thought it would be a nice gesture towards our clients. Thank you again for trusting us with your holidays. We hope you had a lovely day despite these circumstances and that if you ever return you will give us the opportunity to show you one of those 5 star experiences we are famous for! Kind regards.
