On arrival please head to the upper level exit of the Colosseum Metro Station, where you'll find our representatives wearing purple 'Crown Tours' shirts. Customers are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the activity start time. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entrance.

The meeting place was disorganized. I was directed to at least 3 guides until I found the right one and it was only after I complained that this was now the 3rd person I was standing in line to check in. Afterwards, we waited in the burning sun for at least 1/2 hour past the scheduled start of the tour so that was annoying since they tell you to be there 1/2 hour before the scheduled start of the tour which we were. The tour overall was nice and informative. Our guide was very good. Overall, I would still recommend.

Our guide Barbara was very knowledgeable and super friendly. The day was really hot but she was truly accommodating to folks having trouble with the sun. Bring water (there’s places to refill everywhere) & comfortable walking shoes. We walked around for almost the full 3hrs.

This tour was so informative! It’s definitely long but Maya made it so enjoyable! Be prepared to walk, I forgot to wear sunblock and got a major sunburn. A lot of people from the group left midway because they were tired, but it’s honestly so worth it. Maya is amazing!

Finding the original meeting place was difficult, probably due in part to the actual metro station being closed and all of the construction around it. We had to stop and ask how to get up to the level above it. Tour guide was very personable and informative. She had a large binder of photos which she used to help us understand and imagine the Roman life she was describing. We would definitely recommend this tour.

This was a very well-organized tour which covered the most significant parts of the Palatine Hill. Our tour guide Lara was absolutely incredible. She brought the history of the Colosseum and Roman forum to life, and is truly as knowledgable as they come. We learned the history behind these monuments and got a glimpse of how ancient Roman life worked. I am delighted I participated in this tour. By myself, it would have been easy to breeze through without truly understanding the importance of some structures. This tour gave an excellent overview. I would highly recommend it to all new visitors to Rome.
