The papal audience was great. The guided aspect failed.

We arrived a half an hour early. The guide was not where they said they would be, and they were not wearing the blue identifying shirts they said they would be wearing. The guide rambled on a bunch of nonsense and seemed very unaware of the sanctity of this experience. Lastly she left us with our headsets and ditched out early. Not only would I not recommend this I would discourage anyone from signing up.

Great experience. Our guide was terrific. We got close to the Pope. He was within five feet of us. Our seats were nearly perfect and the view of the mass was excellent.

A SCAM. DO NOT BOOK. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Chelsea_C
, Apr 2022
The meeting point was so extremely confusing. Absolutely zero customer service help. Missed my tour, had to go home, and they refused to refund. Also, after reflection, this price is an absolute scam!! It’s free entry and the most they help you do is go with you through line and give you a bit of background. YOU DO NOT NEED THESE PEOPLE AT ALL. Get there early and you can get good front row seats anyway.

We didn’t get the chance to do this activity due to the pandemic. I sent a request to Viator to re-boo/cancel but to no avail. I am disappointed!!!!

10th row seats!
Loren_S
, Mar 2020
The tour guide's job is literally to get you through security and that is it. However, with security being as crazy as it was, I would say this was worth it. We ended up being in the 10th row (approximately), and so were actually very close! This was excellent, as the Wednesday we went it was raining, and the audience was held inside a giant auditorium. Being in the back of 3,000 people - we would've had a very different experience. So for that, I would say it was worth it. Be prepared to stand for over an hour in the security line. I wish the guide would have told us she was leaving once we got inside - I would have asked more questions had I known she wouldn't be available during / afterwards. Aside from that, I highly recommend going to a papal audience if you can.

One among many

While we were with a small group, I did not realize we would end up among thousands. Still, our guide was very knowledgable and helpful, especially navigating the many groups of pilgrims.

BLEESED EXPERIENCE
Yoliejlo
, Feb 2020
What an experience. . .AMAZING! Our guide was so knowledgeable, as she worked for the Vatican 20+ years. She was engaged with the group, gave insightful and informative overview on the Piacy that we didn't know. Our tour was in English and she spoke it perfectly. This seating was ideal and I was able to get pictures, of a lifetime of the pope at the Blessing! This is was by far worth the money. Lots of people were there, so I would recommend getting there early. The guide handled the people trying to cut the line really well. The City Wonders guides are fantastic and when return to Italy next year, we will book any tour with them for sure.

Couldn’t find my tour guide. Came in through the side where security was. I callled help line and they told me to go through there. Once we went through security, we couldn’t go back to plaza so we were never able to find the guide.

Great experience with Rafaella! Rafaella found us really good seats in the hall where the papal audience took place. I cannot recommend enough this tour! And ask for Rafaella; she is amazing and even told us some interesting stories of the vatican!

Tour operator very organized. Tour guide (GiGi = a man) was friendly and informative. We got good seats. The Papal ceremony itself is boring, sorry. A lot of translating into different languages. Understandable but still, after waiting for hours, that part is boring. Something you do just once. I would book with Viator again and I have.

We had such a wonderful time. The details sent before gave us all we needed to know in advance. Our guide, Monica, was brilliant. She told us lots of interesting facts about Vatican City and got us perfect seats to watch the Pope come past. Thank you!

Service levels are zero. This booking doesn't give contact number of any host or guide. Customer care and and the contact number given are being picked by the same person, who is least bothered if you attend the papal audience or not. The service is totally hyped up. There was total denial of service. Instead, go to Vatican, entry is easy and free. Please don't waste money by pre-booking. I only felt cheated.
