Pizza-Making Cooking Classes in the Heart of Rome

Disappointing...There really wasn't much instruction or engagement with the chef. I would not recommend this class.

Super casual, definitely something fun to do if you don't want to be stuck inside the tourist attractions all day. The group was pretty small, the chef came into the restaurant just to teach us - he was funny. I won't say I learned a lot but we did make pizza and we did eat it and it was good!

Chef only spoke to a selected few. He was a bit grumpy. Didn’t give detail written information. I would consider a different venue.

Very friendly staff and great fun. We thought the experience was good value for money and would love to have been able to tag on a gelato making course to the experience. Definitely recommend for those visiting Rome and love pizzas

This was a pretty good class for $55 pp. It was quite basic - making dough, then using new dough that had been prepped days ahead to actually roll out for our pizza. The chef was okay - somewhat pushy in an Italian way and didn’t give all the guests the same level of attention (or if he did it wasn’t always helpful attention). The pizza was okay but certainly nothing amazing. If you’re looking for a cheap last minute experience, this might be an option to consider.

Very enjoyable class. We loved the instructor and the Jazz Cafe is a cool spot. The pizza was delicious. I would recommend it while in Rome.

My 12 year old daughter and I signed up to take this class together. We ended up being the only participants, which was fine—lots of individual attention. The restaurant is very hip and fun and was very easy to get to! We were given cold drinks and bruschetta, and then the chef came to get us. He interacted very sweetly with my daughter. There were aprons for us. We were in the back of the restaurant at a small table. The chef (Renato?) told us the recipe for pizza dough. We each had our own set up. We watched him and then tried to do what he did. He was very funny and patient with us. Even though I make a lot of dough at home, I learned new techniques and ways to form the dough. After we learned to make dough we stepped around to the pizza oven section of the restaurant. Chef showed us their prepped balls of dough in storage and the difference between those that had been rising for 24, 48, and 72 hours. It was very interesting! He showed us how to roll our dough very thin and we had choices about topping our pizza. My daughter and I both chose Pizza Margherita. We watched them slide our pizzas into the very beautifully tiled oven. Then we were seated at our choice of tables. We chose to sit outside. We were served our pizzas and choice of drink. I had wine and my daughter had soda. The pizza was amazing ! I know I can’t replicate it perfectly at home but I sure am going to try! Chef came out to check on us and to say goodbye. The wait staff were very kind. We were given a coffee after our meal. I am so glad we signed up to do this. I really think it’s the best souvenir I could buy! We take home the memories and hopefully the way to make pizza Roma!
