Your tour meets at our office, located at Via dei Delfini 35/36, 00186 Rome. We are located about 150 meters from Piazza Venezia (a 5 minute walk) and 1.5 km from the Colosseum (approximately a 15 minute walk). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

This activity will end right where it started.
Your tour starts in central Rome where you meet your guide and get comfortable on your 2-wheeled, self-balancing Segway during a brief practice session. When you’re ready, take off with your guide through Rome’s historical center. Allowing you to cover more ground than a walking tour while still being outside in the fresh air, a Segway tour is the ideal way to experience a city filled with so many must-see attractions.

Head toward Capitoline Hill to visit the archaeological ruins of the Roman Forum, home to landmarks like the Arch of Constantine and Trajan’s Column. Listen to a bit of history about ancient Rome from your live as you glide around the edge of the forum, and then pass by Palentine Hill on your way to Circus Maximus, where chariot races were once held.

Continue to the Colosseum for a photo op of this legendary amphitheater where gruesome gladiator battles once took place, which you hear about via your live guide. Then weave your way over to the Church of Santa Maria to check out Bocca della Verità, the Mouth of Truth, a carved piece of marble made famous in the Audrey Hepburn movie 'Roman Holiday.' Legend says, if you put your mouth into the sculpture and tell a lie, your hand will be bitten off.

End your tour by making your way back to the starting point, stopping for a photo-op at a scenic vantage point along the way.

My wife and I have been to Rome several times before, and we tried this Segway tour to try something different. It was an absolutely wonderful experience since the Segway is an ideal vehicle to cover the areas of central Romes historical sites. Our guide Christian was a superb instructor on both the Segway and the history of Rome. He even brought virtual reality viewers along to bring Romes history to life for our group of 6. We thoroughly enjoyed viewing central Rome with Christian as our guide. Highly recommend to any tourists able to ride a bike.

If this is your first time to Rome and even f it’s not this is a GREAT first day experience. Marco was amazing and explained the history of the city to give an understanding of why and what you want to do in the city. Best tour we took the whole trip. We got to see so much of Rome and fast because of the Segways. We were all able to do it - different sizes, different ages. Marcus was wonderful -full of information and even following up on tours we were doing through different companies making sure we knew where to meeting point was and also gave recommendations on wine bars, restaurants and what to go back to that we should do again and what we should do at night. We loved every part of this to work and highly highly recommend it!

We’ve done Segway tours in many large cities and while we have enjoyed them all for different reasons this one in Rome tops them all. We were part of a small group however the way the tour was structured it would have been just as great in a larger group. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and the headphones were great as he told us about the history of Rome and what we were seeing on the entire tour. There was quite a few things on the tour that you won’t hear of or see on any of the other tours. We did the daytime trip and would have booked the night trip (different route) but the temperature was dropping too much at night. We stopped at all the major sites even just for 5 minute (sometimes 10) to ensure that everyone had photo opportunities. Our guide was extremely safety conscious and made sure to alert us of obstacles or to make sure that traffic stopped so that we could safely cross....not an easy feat in Rome. When we come back this will definitely be a tour that we do again.

If you are considering this tour, just book it already! It's the perfect way to learn about Rome, Matt was a wonderful guide, and the VR goggles are amazing! If you have any interest in the history of Rome and want to see all the sites quickly you need to do this tour.

We learned so much, laughed so hard and even better we got to see all the classical spots of Rome along with a few hidden gems that only the locals know about.
