Rita was a fantastic guide. Funny, knowledgeable and friendly. This is the best way to see all the must sees in Rome in a single day. We were on a pre cruise short stay and were really delighted to find this tour to pack in the most for our time and money. The included lunch was fantastic as well!

What a great way to see the major highlights of Rome! We had never been to Rome and this was our first tour during our first day in Rome. It was a wonderful experience and we were able to get a wonderful overview of the city so we could enjoy Rome over the next few days. The tour guides were very knowledgable and gave us all a personal experience. The lunch was very good. The only downside is that were did not have time to get the dessert with the lunch.

We did the full day Vatican and Colosseum Tour. We paid extra to be picked up at our hotel and from lunch to the Colosseum after the morning Vatican tour. Both times, the van was over 30 minutes late so the tour had to wait for us. Which meant other people had to leave the tour early to accommodate us. The tour guides were very nice and friendly but I don’t think they were as captivating as other guides we had throughout our trip. The stress of the late transfers wasn’t a great feeling before each tour. Would probably look for a more unique tour next time, not use a mass tour company.

Colosseum portion of the tour was cancelled due to a foreseeable event (“Way of the Cross”),with notice of cancellation given on afternoon before the tour. Had we known this we would have booked another day and time. We couldn’t re-schedule after late notice. Very, very disappointed in Viator for allowing the booking, then cancelling.

A very big day and a lot to take in and NO lines. Vatican was sensational and the lunch was very good considering the time frame the restaurant had to prepare the meals plus it was convenient to be transported to the Colosseum. Our guide Tahani was very good taking time to explain in full to all of the group. Possibly a lot for some older and less agile

It was wonderful! Guides and transportation were spot on! Not a tour for people with mobility issues. It wasn’t a problem for me but it came to mind after the many Km’s we walked and many many stairs involved. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour. Hotel pick up was a half hour late but the driver was courteous and apologetic. Both tour guides were very good and Rita was terrific and was very well informed and fun. It was a big advantage being able to 'skip the line' and if you have limited time in this beautiful city this is the way to do it!

It was too much to do in one day. Possibly because it was a holiday weekend in Rome and we didn’t realize that when we booked. We missed touring the Colosseum and Paletine due to time constraints. Another time we would book separate tours. Viator is very easy to deal with and the guides were all very knowledgeable.

Make sure you are aware of the time allotted to see all of the attractions. The second part of the tour was very rushed. We only had about 10 minutes to tour the Colossum because in November Palatine Hill close early we were not told that at booking. We only had 5 minutes to tour Palatine Hill, hold up at entrance. We did not get a chance to see the Roman Foram at all. We were a little disappointed, but overall Rome is beautiful. So if you have a chance to go, Please do!

This tour was double booked . . . Viator please check your own details. We cancelled one (1) of the two tours. When we were in Rome we rang Carrani Tours 36 hours in advance to confirm pick-up time only to be told that the second booking had been cancelled also. We have been charged for two (2) excursions received one payment back and have requested a second refund. I have reviewed here because other means have been fruitless. Please explain.

Rita, our tour guide for the Vatican was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and kept a great pace through the Vatican areas that we saw. Lunch was substantial and provided a nice break. This was a great way to see Rome since we only had one day in town. We had a guide in the morning and a guide in the afternoon. They were both very knowledgeable and had really good English. They were very attentive and willing answered any questions that we had. We also had lunch and it was very good.

This tour is a great way to see the highlights of Rome - especially worth it is the "skip the line" option for the group tours. I only had the weekend in Rome, so this was well worth it for me to be able to fit in as much as possible in a short time frame. That said, the tour was mostly very impersonal and I felt a bit like we were cattle being herded and shuffled around between different locations, different guides, etc. The guide we had in the afternoon (Matthias?) was very good, shared a lot of information, and actually tried to connect with individual travelers despite the fairly large size of the group (~30 or so). With a clear idea of what to expect from a tour, it's a good way to see a lot of the highlights of Rome. P.S: be prepared for a lot of walking!
