I would suggest booking directly through the Colosseum, the lines weren’t bad if you have a ticket and booking through this website had an extremely complicated process for getting the ticket which resulted in me losing out on getting one all together without a refund.

Dear Anna_B, thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry you missed your entrance, but as explained that day, unfortunately, a refund, in this case, was not possible. We buy all the tickets for our customers in advance: they are timed and non-refundable. You booked the entrance at 10 am, and our staff was at the indicated meeting point from 9:15. We tried to call you several times, to ask you where you were, and you never answered your phone, nor did you call the emergency contact you had on the voucher or sent us a message through Viator to say you were having trouble finding us. It was only at 11 am when it was too late to use your tickets, that you sent us a message saying you couldn't find the meeting point. We know it's hard sometimes to find your way around in a foreign city, but we really did everything we could to avoid this situation. Kind regards, City Walkers Staff

The tour was good and Lawrence the guide was great. The meeting point was pants. As there are so many other groups that it was like being in a cattle market. They could have moved it to the Tourist information point or somewhere else but by the green kiosk box. It was like being in ancient Rome looking for your Tribune's flag in a midst of a battle. So one star deducted. Not that this will really matter.

We booked the colosseum tour last minute on the day we were taking the tour. We are so glad we made the choice to do it as it was one of the highlights of our trip in rome. Augustino was our tour guide and we can’t recommend him enough, he was so thorough and gave such an in depth tour in which we learnt so much from him. He was very proud to be showing us the monuments within his country and his knowledge was amazing. He made us laugh throughout and the whole trip was so laid back. Thank you for showing us around we really appreciate it and will definitely be back🇮🇹❤️

I did this tour with my parents and generally speaking we loved it. We learned a lot about Roman history and about the story behind so many of the historical areas of Rome. Our tour guide Francesco was very knowledgable and was happy to answer any of our questions. We recommend bringing headphones to plug into the radio as we found the headphones given uncomfortable
