Excellent tour

The tour was fantastic-- our guide Chiara was informative and personable and I enjoyed it very much. I have been on several Vatican tours and this ranks very highly. The only reason this tour does not get 5 stars today was because a week or so before the tour I got an email asking us to show up early to the meeting point-- at 7:50 instead of 8:30. Ok, no problem. However, the tour did not even leave the meeting point until close to 9 and it seemed like things were a bit chaotic. Now, I do understand that the museums had been closed for 2 days prior so it was extra crazy that morning, and I also know that group members were late and that is out of the hands of the tour company but I wish we had not been standing around for over an hour and had kept the original meeting time.

Hello Liz, Thank you for this wonderful review. It was indeed a hectic few days and this caused some uncontrollable circumstances. Please note that due to tour logistics any tour will start 30 minutes or an hour later as the initial meeting time is assigned so that you may check in the tour, meet your guide and group and get through security. The tour may only being after that as is natural. Very happy to read you enjoyed your time with Chiara. Thank you for choosing our tours!

DISAPPOINTING

Firstly, we arrived on time - however a couple of people were 30 minutes late, so we had to wait in the cold until they turned up. I know its no fault of the tour company, but we were herded in like sheep with no option but to shuffle along with everyone else and no time to look at the art. It was just critically overcrowded.....greedy money grabbing people I found the entire experience uncomfortable. The highlight was at the end with t he Church and St peters Square - glad I did it but never again.

Julio was an engaging guide. Knew the subject matter very well. English a little spotty, but not a problem. The tour itself is basic: Follow the herd of other tours through the Tapestry Room, Map Room, a couple Raphael rooms, Sistine Chapel; then into St. Peters. Very good tour for first-timers, and skipping the line is a must.

Good tour

When it was time for our tour, we were immediately escorted in and our guide was very informative and quick to answer any questions. It was a lengthy tour and when we got to St. Peter's, there was talk that the Pope was going to make an appearance at a special service at noon. Since it was 11:40, we decided to leave the tour (which was almost at the end) and stand in line to see if he would come. There were many Cardinals dressed in green and then the Pope came and spoke. Although we could not understand what he said, it was a great experience. Skipping the line is the way to go since there were many people waiting in line and it was only 9 a.m.

Fe, (Felicity), our tour guide for the Vatican, was wonderful. I cannot praise her highly enough. I highly recommend her. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the tour was infectious. I have 2 children, aged 14 and 11, and they felt able and welcome to ask questions, which were answered in detail by Fe.

The perfect tour, the guide was knowledgeable and smart. The skip the line tour is the only way go at the Vatican. There is so much to see and experience and having a guide take you thru helps to break it down into lovely stories and sections. Highly recommend.

This was a great tour! Our guide was well-versed in the material he presented, and he had a solid command of the English language. The starting point was easy to find. My only criticism is that it took some time to process everyone and get the tour underway. Regardless of this glitch, I would recommend this tour to anyone.

We would highly recommend this tour! Our guide Fe was absolutely brilliant. She presented information about all the areas we visited with easy to understand language but with such enthusiasm and passion. It really brought everything we saw to life! And she really knew her stuff! Must do! Amazing!

We ended up having only 4 people in our group, which made for a very intimate experience. For the life of me, I can't remember our guide's name I think it was Maria, but she was great. I like how she had a binder with photos of some of what we were seeing, as it was sometimes hard to see all of the details--especially in the Sistine Chapel. Our guide gave us a lot--almost too much!--information to put what we were seeing into context. We were able to cover quite a bit of ground, and I feel like it was an extremely efficient use of our time. Definitely worth doing!

Las salas de Rafael... Un auténtico experiencia... La capilla sixtina queda algo desmerecida después de tal abrumadora muestra... Debería ir al principio
