Tour van was packed….couldn’t really see well. Tour was in 2 languages so difficult for guide to say everything he wanted to say & made it difficult to understand. City was beautiful. Had to find elevator to get to coffee & cake by ourselves. Then people were not helpful or accommodating. Coffee & cake was delicious when we finally got it.

We chose this tour because it was the only one we could book of less than 4 hours. We had a 6 pm experience and were taking the train from Munich. Easy walk to find the meeting place for this tour. Quickly traveled in a small van around the old area of Salzburg and our guide was informative and entertaining, though most of the information was related to the movie version of Sound of Music. We learned of Salzburg’s history as an independent nation, and church/state. We chose the option of cake and coffee and the setting was spectacular. The coffee and strudel were very good. My rating is based not on lack of quality but on duration. We left to tour at 3:05 and were dropped for coffee at 3:45.

We were treated to an excellent trip round Salzburg with Max as a guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable. There is so much to see and be told about. The only slight downside was that the coffee and cake part of the ticket included the lift but we didn't realise that.

We drove two hours for this tour from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was supposed to be a 2 hour1 hr. in a van tour. then it was supposed to be a 20 minute walking tour before cake and coffee with s great view of Salzburg. We were dropped of to do it by ourselves. Sorry, but not impressed. Pick another tour.

The guide, Peter, if I am not wrong, was good and gave a good rundown of the places we toured with a right amount of humour. He was clear and spoke good English. However we felt that it would have been perhaps abit better with a slight extension of tour to 1.5 hours as the 1 hour went too fast. View from coffee and cake place was nice and Salzburg is really a beautiful place..

Intimate tour setting, it was our guide Luciano, our family of four, and another guest. Good overview of everything in Salzburg, but wished we had more time in the city to follow up on what we saw and learned. Coffee or other hot beverages and cake or strudel were served in a restaurant overlooking the old town of Salzburg breathtaking views. Though we had a nice day, it may be prone to poor weather.

Had to sit in a minibus for an hour as the driver took us round looking at the different sites. Would have liked to have got out at times. The tour was relatively interesting but we spent a very short time at the different points of interest so it was difficult to really take in much about what was being said. The tour guide could have been a happier person and wasn't the most welcoming. The tour only lasted 1 hour and not 2 hours as stated. We could have covered the same ground on foot in the 2 hours. The cake at the end was delicious and the view stunning.

The guide was not that friendly. As there were a few German Tourists with us, he was mostly speaking in their language. We had the coffee and cake voucher, but he never told us where and when to get it. Later, when the tour got over, we asked him and he said that he had mentioned earlier, but we never heard anything about going to the area to redeem the coffee and cake voucher. Salzburg is a very beautiful city though.

Enjoyed the tour of key sites of the city. Disappointed that our restaurant experience meant the 'coffee and cake' that should have been included wasn't, and we had to pay extra.

The price of the tour is worth for the wonderful views of the city from Restaurant M 32. My server was a bit rude and service was very slow to get the coffee and dessert. They didn't allow me to choose the dessert I want it although the menu indicated same price for all options listed. The restaurant's views of the city are breathtaking. Service? not so much. I think it may hev just been my waitress. Our small minivan had 8 people and it was a bit crammed in the vehicle. The guide was funny and knowledgeable

This was the worst tour we have ever taken, and we travel extensively and often choose a tour to get an overview of a city. Michael conducted the tour in German and English. My husband knows some German. The German information and the English version was not the same. The English version was very short. An English tourist tried to ask him questions and she was shut down. Evidently several tours were put together with a bus load of tourists taking The Panaramic City Tour and then dropped off at a site and sent off on their own with tickets to other activities. We were sent with a man who dropped us off at an elevator to go upstairs for our cake and coffee. We were placed in a corner with a bare table while the rest of the patrons had a linen covered table with flowers. Another set of passengers at the drop off point were told to go up the block, turn the corner and look for Mozart's house with their tickets. I would not recommend this tour.

For some reason we thought that this was going to be a walking tour which it certainly was not. They drive you around in a van and you do get to see some of the sights but it was nothing spectacular. The real value I think was the coffee and cake which you get at the modern museum up on the hill. It gives you spectacular views of the city and is one of the locations used in the Sound of Music!

Our guide was good and very helpful but the time spent for every stop was too short. But Salzburg is a small town anyway and maybe that's all you might need - a quick spin around town to get your bearings then explore on your own. It might be cheaper to get the regular tour then just go on your own and purchase the tickets for the elevator use to go up to the top of the mountain. You really don't need the coffee and cake if you just want the view. The view was really great from there but the day we went was windy and very cold. It would be great to go up during other seasons.
