Extremely Misleading Tour

This tour agency completely misled us during our tour and we do not recommend that you to book this excursion. We originally booked a tour for 6 people to take us from Split to Zagreb because the listing said the tour may be a mini van or tour bus. We personally messaged the tour agency that because we were a large group of 6 people if we could please be put in a private van. The agency responded that yes, of course the 6 of us will be in a van together. However, when we got to the meeting point, the only transportation there was a large tour bus with 30+ other people. We asked our tour guide for clarification and they were unaware of any logistics and recommended we call the agency. Then we called the agency twice and messaged them twice and received no response. The tour guide then told us we had to make a decision immediately or the bus would leave. We had no other choice but to join the tour group as we had a plane to catch in Zagreb early the next morning. The listing also mentions that the max tour group is only 19 people but we had more than 30 on the tour. We never heard back from the tour agency through WhatsApp. Therefore, we absolutely do not recommend this tour to anyone.

Dear Sharon, Thank you for taking time and explaining the situation regarding your tour. The main point of this situation and misunderstanding is that you were sure you had booked a PRIVATE TOUR. In the title of our tour it is very clearly pointed out that it is a GROUP TOUR and also the price it is suitable for a GROUP TOUR. Private tour would be much more expensive. Further communication went in the wrong direction because you thought you had booked a private tour, we (the agency) were sure that you were aware of the fact that you booked a group tour, as we have never had such a situation before. For this tour we organized a DOOR TO DOOR service, so we have many calls and messages to coordinate this service for our guests every morning. You sent us a message at 7:13am, 2 minutes before trip should start. Since the guide has already contacted us and informed us of the problem, we asked him to inform you that you have booked a group tour (she has already found you on the list for group tour) and that you decide for yourself if you want to join the group. Therefore, we at the agency considered that the problem was solved and that you realized that you had made a mistake. Because of this reason we concentrated on the guests who were on their way to the meeting point. When we have received email from Viator about your complaints we respond to them immediately to clear up the misunderstanding as soon as possible. Probably you did not receive the answer from them. When you contacted us after 2 days we answered your text message immediately, explained your misunderstanding and informed you that we answered any mail from Viator. We hope you have received their message by now. We are very sorry for the misunderstanding. In the end, we hope you enjoyed seeing the Plitvice Lakes on the way from Split to Zagreb, because we try very hard to turn each of our tours into a pleasant and unforgettable experience for our guests as you can see from other comments about this tour. Kind regards

Excellent tour and transfer to Zagreb

Our guide Nicolella gave us an unexpected history of both Croatia and the regions as we drove to the lakes. Her delivery was both informed and entertaining. Despite the crowds and heat she controlled the circumstances at the lakes with grace and skill.

Great tour, our guide explained everything along the way and also gave us time to take in the scenery along the way. We did the transfer so after the tour ended we moved to the tour group that was heading back to Zagreb as we came on this tour from split. Transfer went smooth as well. Recommended if you plan to go from split to Zagreb and get a nice tour on the way.

Plitvice Lakes Tour with Transfer

Plitvice Lakes is a must do. Lots of walking and steps to climb but worth every bit. The natural beauty, the clear waters of the lakes and the water falls are a feast for the eyes. Igor as our Tour Guide was good, informative and managed time well. Transfer from Split to Zagreb was routine and uneventful. The coach was comfortable and the driver from Split to Plitvice was a very courteous and an interesting gentleman. At Plitvice we switched coaches and reached Zagreb in a coach that had come from Zagreb whereas the one from Split went back to Split.

Great way to get from Split to Zagreb

This is a great way to get from Split to Zagreb. We were dropped off in Zagreb right outside of our accommodation which made it very easy. The one downside was that the park while beautiful and worth seeing was so crowded that it detracted from the overall enjoyment. Our guide, Igor, was excellent, very knowledgeable and funny. Our stop at the local restaurant was very good and they had a large selection of food. We transferred to a minibus at the restaurant for the final leg to Zagreb. The minibus was quite small, very tight seating and not as comfortable as the larger bus.

Very knowledgeable bus driver. The lakes and waterfalls were amazing. We were rushed because it was raining solidly. However the rain gave an interesting view of the lakes that wasn't to be missed. The lunch stop was fantastic with local foods freshly prepared. Recommend to all!

This is a large group which makes the logistics a bit tricky but our guide Nikolina managed to pull it off. She provided interesting and quirky commentary throughout the long ride to Plitvice from Split. The tour is a good if rather costly way to visit the lakes while transferring from Split to Zagreb or vice versa.

The transfer was the perfect thing for us and the tour a bonus. The driver and guide were great, the tour was okay. I've heard a lot of people say how beautiful the lakes are and they were....the waterfalls gorgeous and the lakes so clear you just want to jump in. The narrow path and quantity of tourists were the problem, my wife and I both felt we spent more time looking down and dodging other people that it wasn't a very enjoyable walk through the park. Plus we're both from PA so the beauty of the outdoors is something we're accustomed to seeing. Glad we didn't skip the tour but don't see a reason to go back.

Must visit place in Croatia. Dubrovnik is one of the beautiful unique city in Europe. But this plitvice is amazing, I got so many good pics with desktop pic quality using normal Note8 camera. I visited in summer .. Want to visit this place in winter to get different view. Guide from split to plitvice was very good, well mixing. He keeps on talking and provide so many information including some silly info also :)

Best way to get from Split to Zagreb
Mike_Z
, Jul 2018
The tour was great and our tour guide had a hard task taking the entire bus (48 people) through the park without any help. She did great keeping the group together and we had a great time seeing the park. The transfer process to get on the bus to Zagreb was also very easy, and they dropped us off right at our hotel in Zagreb. Since there is not a train that connects Zagreb and Split I can't think of a better way to get between the cities and see an amazing site on the way.

Great way to get from Split to Zagreb if you don't want to drive yourself or take other public transport. From Split to lakes we were on a large tour bus. After the lakes and lunch those of us going to Zagreb got our things off the bus and switched over to a small van. Both were comfortable and clean with very friendly drivers. I was glad I got to see the lakes and would recommend the tour, however, if you are there during peak season it is VERY crowded.
